Question: Should I have my vehicle exhaust system inspected regulary?
Answer: Yes. Laser lube inspects the exhaust system for leaks during every 40 point basic vehicle maintenance oil change service. the procedure we use to do this is while the vehicle is at an idle, we restrict the exhaust flow by covering the tail pipe and visually inspecting any exhaust
fumes that my be escaping throughout the entire exhaust system. Many times Laser Lube may be able to observe an exhaust leak that may otherwise be unnoticed by listening and touching only the exhuast. Although, the exhaust fumes could be entering the interior of your vehicle causing carbon monoxide poisoning.
Laser Lube uses high quality original factory exhaust replacemen parts while other auto repair shops may use lower quality replacement parts. The quality level of the exhaust parts has to do with the thickness of the metal used to manufacure the exhaust pipes, mufflers, ETC. Of course, the added longevity of the exhaust system will save you time and money in the long run, although maybe not initially.

Question: How often should my air filter, breather element and PCV be changed?
Answer: Most auto manufacturers recommend an air filter change every 12-15,000 miles. If your vehicle has a breather element in addition to an air filter, change the breather, also. A positive crankcase ventilator (or PCV) needs to be changed when clogged. Air filters and breather elements filter out airborne abrasive particles thus protecting your engine and fuel injectors from unnecessary wear and tear. A clean air filter and breather element will insure the correct amount of air required for combustion and eliminate hesitation especially on acceleration. PCV's when clogged will cause a rough idle, hesitation and/or erratic idle. Clean air filters, breather elements and PCV's are worth your investment to decrease your fuel cost as well as decrease emissions. There is no good reason to drive with dirty filters.
