    Val Spencer (owner and operator) of Laser Lube grew up in Minnesota, where the frigid winter weather alone was a good enough reason for people to really want their cars to be reliable.
    But her family's cars tended to be older and always seemed to need maintenance.  Even as a child, Spencer always suspected that her father, who was not mechanically inclined, was getting ripped off by auto shops not really fixing the problem and suggesting unnecessary work. "I'd just seen it so often, you start to get suspicious."
    Spencer has owned and operated Laser Lube in California, MD for over 20 years.  Val hopes to keep others from feeling like their car is too mysterious for them to even begin to understand.  If your going to own and operate a vehicle, Laser Lube feels you should have a good basic knowledge about how your vehicle operates.
    When you bring your vehicle to Laser Lube for a basic service, we explain and report any issues we find.  During our famous 40 point oil change you can expect to see all your drive train fluid samples versus a new sample, your air filter, and coolant sample with PH.  On some vehicles you may also see a PCV valve, cabin air filter, fuel filter and other small items we may find to report (leaks, serpentine belt, PCV/vacuum hose, etc.).
    Any time Laser Lube looks over your vehicle and finds an issue that needs to be addressed (brakes, tires, belts, etc.) we encourage the customer to walk out into the shop with us and take a look with their own eyes.  We explain what we have found and why that item should be replaced.  Then we work up an estimate and present that to you along with a time frame on how long it would take to repair.  Laser Lube will also explain what could happen if that part completely fails.
    Laser Lube has two comfortable waiting rooms and strives for same day service.  In-stock we carry a wide variety of oil filters, air filters, cabin filters, fuel filters, transmission filters, belts and light bulbs.  We also have a wide variety of oil types and viscosity's.  Most parts we do not stock (brake pads, CV axles, water pump, etc.) are readily available from our 6 local parts stores that stock and deliver what we need very quickly.
